Hi, after updating the latest firmware version HP2550&HP2560 Firmware V1.8.7 (11/16/2022) the Czech language disappeared on the weather station. It's not even on the menu anymore. I also tried the older firmware version 1.7.8, but there is no Czech language there either.Can you please advise what to do with it? Thanks

A user in the Ecowitt forum had the same question: "But how to switch to Czech, Czech is not an option in standard language settings."

Finally he found himself the solution (but I don't understand why it apparently didn't work for you).:

SOLVED: downgrade firmware to 1.7.x - switch to Czech, upgrade to latest firmware.

Overall, though, I think this is a bug in the current firmware (I can't select Czech either) that Ecowitt should fix. You should ask Ecowitt about this.

Thank you for answer.  I currently have firmware 1.7.8.  The Czech language is not even there.

Last firmware version in which I find the word "Czech" is v1.7.6. In v 1.8.7 this is called "čeština". Probably this can't be displayed because of the special characters.

Apparently, the Czech translation was created by GARNI and is therefore exclusively available on their devices for copyright reasons.
In any case, the Czech language version is advertised there.
This exclusivity makes sense from GARNI's point of view, of course - on the Czech market this is a not inconsiderable advantage. Users who want to use the Czech language must therefore buy the console from GARNI.

Now we can only hope that another vendor lock (as with Ambient Weather) will not be introduced for sensors in the future.

To anyone who would like a translation into their own language: ask Ecowitt if you can help with this.

I would buy the station from Garni.  But they will be available only in March.  I didn't want to wait.  That's why I bought Ecowitt.

I do this for the Dutch language of the HP2550. What you'll receive is an Excel (not a very clear one, but nvm), with the different translations in tabs of the file. You can create then your own translation. BUT: you'll always have to take the length of words/sentences into account when translating. The display is not that flexible so it can handle long words where the short English version is default 

So this isn't a 5 minute piece of work, just to inform you

That's exactly the background with GARNI and their Fine Offset clone version of the HP2551 - and I had posted this dependency sometime earlier ...
I had contacted Ecowitt earlier regarding Czech language not being selecteable in 1.8.6, and the Ecowitt reply was:
"The Czech language was translated by Garni and they don’t want us to make it public for none Garni customers. "
