Topic: WitBoy firmware only upgradeable through USB?

Got my nice new WitBoy outside array only it does work nicely with both my console and my gw1100, but is the firmware only updateable through the USB port on it? or did i miss another way of doing it? because if that is the case its going to be a sod to update for people like me that have it out of reach.

Hi!

Yes, that is the (only) way.
The frequency of updates has decreased recently. The v1.2.6 seems to be quite stable. In this respect, you don't have to keep updating.

Look at it from the other side: this sensor CAN be updated. Given a choice between no updateability and updateability via USB - which would you choose?

Very true, but I'd prefer the third option, a sensor that didn't need to be upgraded

Very true i guess i am just been picky lol and i can always update it when i need to change the batteries or do any sort of service on it, i will need to run a 12v supply for the heater on it been the UK its been fairy cold well below freezing for some days.
