Too much rain fall
« on: November 28, 2022, 07:01:28 PM »
My Ambient weather WS-2902C. Within the last 30 days my weather station is registering 50% more rainfall than my Davis Vantage Vue and my Stratus rain gauge. I put my level on it and it's a bubble off. In the photo with the Ambient with the arrow it's flexing at that point. Do you suppose that would give a false reading. The way the instruments are mounted the pole is level. [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]

Your station looks a bit worn.  When was the last time you cleaned the bucket?

when the tipping spoon isn't cleaned from debris, algae, unsollicited guests etc., it can tilt earlier and thereby cause too high readings.

I did clean the bucket and as of today it measured the same as my Stratus. Thanks for the heads up.
