I just installed a 7 in 1 sensor to replace acurite. So far, I cannot find any value that I think is off or needs correction! I am still waiting for rainfall, but in general has anyone found a reading they have felt needs to be adjusted? I did click the 100% humidity option in Cumulus. The thermometer is extremely accurate in my view.

Please correct if I've gotten it wrong:
You purchased an Osprey array clone and you are getting your pressure readings from an Ecowitt gateway?

I was going to say that your pressure readings are 2 hPa out or so but from the weathercloud widget in your sig, it looks like these readings are out of date - maybe from your old accurite weather station so it is hard to tell if you are calibrated or not. I see three different elevations at Weathercloud. For calibration purposes for non-airport stations , you want the barometric sensor elevation above sea level. The barometric sensor in the ecowitt gateway is located inside the case.

If you are using the ecowitt gateway, you may want to consider registering your new device with ecowitt.net.  If so, we can take a look at your barometer ABS and REL readings.

For the ecowitt gateway, you have to calibrate it manually. I dimly recall something about the accurite baro - it self-calibrates the baro automatically over a period of time?

You will have to decide if you want your new weather station to track Altimeter or SLP.  For better accuracy, I would recommend you calibrate to Altimeter.

To calibrate the barometric sensor of your Ecowitt gateway, you can use this guide/tutorial: https://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=43602.msg443933#msg443933

I fixed up Weather cloud on the app from WS View, but it isn't working. I couldn't get any sites to work through that app, so I just foward everything to CumulusMX. I have several other sites online from cumulusmx though.

So I put a piece of radiant barrier (stuff you use under roofs) over the Atlas sun shield, and now it has dropped closer in line to the wing sensor. I could layer the stuff around the existing sensor shield I suppose... to better keep the light out.

I compared to KJAX. Congrats! You've done a fine job calibrating your barometric sensors! [tup]

This one is actually a little closer, but I'm sure "Doc" is aware.

KOAJ and KNCA are the ASOS sites. KNCA is a bad site, since it is right on the water. That throws off the readings compared to a station over land alone.

Bad site? Not sure I'd phrase it that way, it's merely obs data at that particular airport, but I understand your "reasoning". Besides, that would have pretty much zero relevance on your pressure comparison.

I should have clarified, as far as temperature and humidity, maybe wind as well.

@CW2274 @DoctorKnow

location, location. location!
Evidently, Jacksonville NC is not the same as Jacksonville FL!
Apologies for my gaffe.

Do-over?

I see your weathercloud widget has been updated to your new station and pressure matches KOAJ and close enough to KNCA. You are calibrated.

I got the weathercloud working through Cumulus. I was just really shocked at the great accuracy of this new sensor. I can't wait to see how it does with rainfall.

Too funny. Actually you clued me in with KNCA. Looked at the METAR. Did the "shee-it" when I saw the NC and pleaded the mea culpa.Wrong church, wrong pew. Thankfully, no thumbs had to be removed - mine or the Doctor's. :)

Got some good rain today. The rain gauge is very accurate. No need to change a thing there.
