Ecowitt rain reporting to Weather Display or Meteobridge
« on: March 20, 2022, 12:57:19 PM »
It seems that my ecowitt is reporting a lesser rain amount to my Weather Display software than actual and also less than it reports to Ecowitt.net.

Last night my manual cocorahs gauge received .49" of rain.  My Weather Display software, and hence my website, reports it as .30".  Ecowitt.net reports it as .48"

I noticed the same issue a couple of months back when I was trying a meteobridge.  Less rain reported to the software.

I'm not sure where to begin.. could it be the gw1000 device? something else?

Thanks for any suggestions.

I found that to have the correct rain data in Weather Display as shown on the GW1n00 device I have to have the Use Station Rain Total ticked on the Control Panel Station Type page. Using that my rain agrees with what is shown on the GW1n00. Obviously my WS40 may not agree with a manual gauge (if I had one) so yours may not agree but that's life I'm afraid with these gauges.

Thank you.  I'll give that a try... now if it will rain here again in the next 6 months...
