« on: January 02, 2022, 09:41:50 AM »
Help Please,

I have managed to snag and damage the wiring for the heater power supply ( Photos attached )

If anyone has some advice how to repair / replace the wiring I would be grateful.

I am unsure how to dis-asemble the unit ............maybe someone has some photos of inner ?

Any suggestions or help would be gratefully recieved........

Cordially

I am not sure what you are seeing in the photos, perhaps cable braiding.
The actual power cable is only two cores to my knowledge, so this might just be superficial damage.
Opening the actual WS80 case may be hard if not impossible due to the manufacturing process. I did enquire previously about opening one and was told that they used a glass glue to make  a weather tight seal and it was unlikely that you would be able to open it without destruction.

I don't have this unit, but I think you can fix this, easily.

You'll have to take apart the device, and see where the wires are attached. Them cut the wire to clean undamaged part, and re-attach.

Solder and unsoldering maybe required, but that would be the hardest part.
