csv files
« on: October 28, 2021, 11:22:46 AM »
I would be very grateful for some help. I have a Garni 940 station linked to Weathercloud. i am able to export my weather data to my PC in csv format,
My problem is that I would like to be able to look simply at my data say as hourly, daily or weekly data in table and graph forms but the amount of data to manipulate in excel is very large as values are every 10 mins in the exported csv files.

Trying to sort this out in excel is not simple for me so i suppose I am asking is there a simple way to look at downloaded data (maybe software is available}
I know this has probably been asked before but I am not very technical so the simplest solution would be best for me.

Thanks in advance for any help

Rob

The devil as always is in the detail as the actual data exported fromn your station may be in a csv file but to import it into software there will need to be a mapping exercise to convert from Garni into whatever the software expects

CumulusMX works on csv files and the format is specified here https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Standard_log_files and has the advantage of being free if you want to fiddle without commitment

There may be a quick way of doing this but your station does not seem to be in the list of supported devices https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Supported_Devices#Supported_Devices

but there is another option if you can export in EasyWeather Format https://cumuluswiki.org/a/Supported_Devices#My_station_is_unsupported_-_Can_I_use_Cumulus.3F

I think you had best ask on the cumulusmx forum https://cumulus.hosiene.co.uk/index.php

There are other software alternatives but I am unfamilar with them and they may require purchase
