Solar/UV for Rainwise MK-lll
« on: September 18, 2021, 07:09:02 PM »
I am in the process of buying a solar and UV sensor for the rainwise.

But when I got a quote, they said they were unsure if they were going to keep making them AND they were in the process of moving from Mass to Penn.

IF-they cant do anything-what other kinds of brands are out there for me to use.
It would have to work wirelessly, port to usb,  and  integrate with Weather Display.

I am interested in doing the same thing, I am not sure if Weather Display can get data from 2 different sources. I would be interested to know if the software can handle the two sources of data.
This Solar/US sensor appears to be a good add on to existing station.

weather display should; We would have to ask on the WD forum.

I think so if one is a weather station, then use a separate UV sensor

With the Ecowit anny/uv, I cannot use it. I need wireless input into my computer. We use 5Mhz only at school. They will not allow anything 2.4 or 900. Very locked down

The Ecowit is very similar to any other weather station. It has a data logger gateway that connects to the uv/solar sensor and your computer interfaces with the data logger gateway. The weather view software should be able to see the data logger and get the data off any Ecowit sensor. The sensor talks directly to the data logger, the computer will interface with the data logger over wifi.

The only question I have is can the Weather View software integrate with two difference weather stations, the Ecowit gateway and the rainwise.
