Topic: Ambientweather.net wind arrow missing on wind widget.

I noticed today that the wind direction arrow on the wind widget is missing on ambientweather.net (Windows 10, tried both Edge and Firefox, both logged in and logged out). The arrow is still showing on the Ambient android app, on WU,  and of course on the WS-2000 console.

AmbientWeather.net was offline for a while last night. They must have broken something?

Ok, you are all correct, although it is very weird. I booted up a different computer and the arrow shows OK using the same browsers. Seems like it would be a cache problem, but how could it affect 2 different browsers? Cleared the cache and it didn't help. Rebooted the computer and it didn't help. Really strange, and I am at a loss on how to fix it.

Working on cell phone using Firefox.

Not working in Microsoft Edge and I never use edge.

Okay, I just rechecked mine, and now my direction arrow is gone as well.  Weird.  Since alanb was the first to notice and post about it, I'm going to blame him.  Henceforth, this issue will be known as "The Lost Arrow of AlanB."

Confirming, also obviously a web site / data issue . Hope they fix this fast as there is a possibility some will think their equipment is at fault

I just sent an email to Ambient support about it ... should have done that yesterday. Will let you know if they respond.

Amazing how dependent we are on a little arrow. Least it still shows the wind direction (like "SW")

Interesting. I suspect the arrow may be coming from your browser cache. I was still seeing the arrow yesterday on one of my computer browsers, but now even that is gone.

I received a reply from Ambient Support. They asked for more information about the browser I am using. I sent my response including a link to this thread. Will post again if I get more info from them.

Got this reply from Ambient Support a few minutes ago: "Thank you for responding. We have let our dev team know about this. We seen it occurring on the same browsers as well. This will help get this fixed so the direction arrow will show up again. The app still has the wind direction arrow sofor now use that to get the correct wind direction."

At least we know they have acknowledged the problem and are working on it. I have been impressed with how quickly Ambient product support responds to questions.

Got another message from Ambient support: "It looks like they have started pushing out the fix. it should pop up with the wind direction. If it doesn’t then do a ctrl+f5 on the browser and the arrow should pop back up."

The Ctrl+F5 didn't work for me in Edge, but I cleared the cache in settings, then closed and reopened the browser, and ...... I had my arrow back
