Just send an email to Lucy (support@ecowitt.com) and ask for a quote, better just order (WH65 T/H rain gauge sensor replacement) - and pay the 15 USD via PayPal (also support@ecowitt.com).

Just a little follow up to this story. I ordered and received the temp/humidity sensor from ecowitt. It's a tiny PCB with a small square sensor, 5 wires and a connector. Took the array apart, unplugged the old sensor, plugged in the new and it immediately showed the correct values again. As a test switched in the old sensor but again incorrect values, so sensor broken. This sensor worked fine till a few months ago when storm Eunice hit and the entire array plus it's 40kg ballast was blown off the roof and landed on the pavement below. Needless to say the array did not survive. Luckily thought it fell under insurance and I got a new outdoor array, exact same one as before. Now, barely 2 months after installing you guessed it, the temp/humidity sensor again starts failing  ](*,).

Current weather is barely any wind, and light to average rain rate, so nothing special.

I found this thread in the search engine.

Just to say that exactly the same thing happened to me as Vossejongk. Two broken outdoor humidity sensors in less than a year. The first one in May 2021, after a heavy storm. The second one a few days ago, after another storm (although this one was quite weak).
In my case I had two GW1000s which I tested in case it was a console problem and the problem persisted, the sensor was stuck at 10% humidity during the day and during the night it reached only 52% of maximum, that was its range.

These images are from the broken sensor a few days ago.

At the top, the humidity and the sudden downpour when it was raining at that moment and the lightning to show that there was a storm at that moment.

Now it never exceeds 63% humidity (it should go up to almost 90%) and goes down every day to 1%.

I bought a couple of these https://shop.ecowitt.com/products/temp-hygr, so I have a few spare replacements. Just installed mine today, it's not hard with a set of small tools, just follow this guide

Yes, the ones I ordered are on their way (I just bought them a few days before this happened again). But the important thing would be to know why this is happening

And why some ( or a few ) are experiencing failures repeatedly.

My best guess is they get wet. Looking at the sun shield design it wouldn't be hard for rain to get in with the help of wind. I have 3 of these weather stations, 2 are in very low wind places, at ground level in a garden surrounded by buildings and hedges, they're workin fine for 2-3 years now. The station at my home is on the roof of my apartment, 15 metres into the air and has no objects blocking wind anywhere near it. Almost every time my humidity sensor failed was during high wind conditions..

This could be a good explanation. But it is bad luck (or paradox) that just the humidity sensor fails because of the humidity.

In my two cases it could also be the explanation because it was with storms (water + air), but there have been other days with air and water and nothing happened (maybe it was luck).

My new outdoor humidity sensor has lasted 5 months since I replaced it. Again it malfunctions after a small storm. There have been stronger storms and nothing has happened to it. It doesn't make any sense at all. 3 sensors in just over a year

putting the sensor (not the array !) into a baking oven (electrical !! - not gas) for 10 hours at 100-105°° C should get it back working again - that's the Sensirion recommendation.
However it might be cheaper to get a new sensor  8-).

I bought 3 replacement sensors. This is the second one I am going to use. My problem is not to recover the malfunctioning ones but to find out why this is happening as well as the time involved in having to change one for another every few months  :???:
