GW1000 suddenly stops sending data to Weathercloud
« on: November 26, 2020, 07:03:56 AM »
Hi!

Does anyone know the problem that the GW1000 stops sending to Weathercloud (temporarily)?
Other services in the same period are not affected. Both via custom server and to Ecowitt or to WU, the data was properly transferred throughout the entire period.
I also rule out a problem with Weathercloud itself because at the same time the data was successfully transferred to Weathercloud via custom server.

After this state lasted for almost 4 hours, I rebooted the GW1000.
And immediately data was again transferred from the GW1000 to Weathercloud!
Next time I'll throw Wireshark on to take a closer look at the packages.

I feel as if I have already read similar behavior with regard to sending to WU.

myPWS = GW1000 directly
Test-Station = FOSHKplugin via custom server from GW1000

Hello Oliver,

I've just looked at my broadcasts. Day / week / month no loss of data. My GW1000 sends directly to WC.

Do you have too much upload traffic on your connection?
Or maybe an analog modem with 33.6k upload speed?

no, my ZyXEL Elite 2864ID has been out of service for a few years.
Oh yes, the good old days ...

I don't think it has anything to do with the line either. Rather, I suspect that the GW1000 causes these problems after some time (?) or after some other influence.
Sometimes it can happen that an http connection is not closed correctly and therefore "hangs".
Just wanted to hear whether other users had the same experience.
I will watch that.

Hi Oliver

I have been using the GW1000 to upload to Weathercloud for almost 8 months. It has always worked fine. Now I use FOSHKplugin, which also works very well, no problems.
