This could be a really obvious answer but I sprayed the radiation shield earlier with some soapy water to clean some of the dirt off it & I've let it warm-up & it keeps having hot/cold moments going up n down.

Have I completely stuffed up the shield/sensor or not? If I have, is there any way to fix it or not?

Thanks,
Jamie

Be very careful while cleaning the outdoor sensor, I wiped mine down back in April and my temperatures took 2-3 days to return to normal, and the weather vane (wind direction) is no longer functional.

It fixed itself overnight but I definitely learnt a lesson from that!
