GW1000 Node-Red Flow
« on: May 02, 2020, 10:58:36 PM »
Hello everybody,

I recently purchased a WH4000SE weather station from Froggit in Germany - my main purpose was to feed the data into my Iobroker home automation, but also to display the data/Graphs via Grafana - this works fine via the current provided Iobroker Adapter, or a Script.
Now I purchased in addition the Froggit DP1500/Ecowitt GW1000 WIFI Dogle to communicate with the WH4000SE WH65 Outdoor sensor, via the Ecowitt protocoll - providing the data of all kind of available sensors. In the next step I plan to purchase the Ecowitt WH57 lightning sensor in the 868Mhz version - this to possible warn me in a later stage on our near by Golf course about thunderstorms via Telegram push messages (this via the Iobroker/Telegram Adapter, or the Node-Red Telegram Node - tbc/implemented in a later stage). However, as the current Iobroker Froggit/Ecowitt Adapter do not support the Ecowitt protocol including the WH57 Sensor, I looked into Node-Red and created my own flow, providing all the data I get out from the GW1000 and WH65 Outdoor Sensor in sum currently. Getting additional Sensors as the WH57 Lightning Sensor this Node-Red Flow can be expanded easily by everone...

Attached the Node-Red flow, as well the settings in WS-View - maybe useful for someone else to update for his own purpose...

@lemuba
Thank you for sharing this to everybody.

I just purchased a Ecowitt GW1100 and I am also trying to read data from this device using Node-RED.

I tried to import your flow but the grey nodes on the left (e.g. "UV-Index") are not known to my installation of Node-RED (version v3.0.1 on a Raspberry Pi 2).
Can you tell me which type of node this is?
And do you know if your flow also is running with the Ecowitt GW1100?

Thx a lot and kind regards
Thomas
