Topic: Ambient WS-2902A Issue

Hello all,

If there's another topic then I apologize but I did a search and couldn't find my answer...  My Ambient 2902A for the last few days has been displaying rain predictions when it's been bright & sunny and in the 80's all 3 days...  Is there a way to fix this without resetting the whole system??  Thanks.

Your weather station is not misbehaving. There is no need to reset anything.

That little forecast icon is only there as a rough guesstimate of possible changing conditions.  The accuracy of this feature is very limited. It is basically a reminiscent hold over from when we used large analog barometers and they pointed to stormy weather if the pressure was below 29.92 inHg (1013.25 mb), and they pointed to fair sky if above this. It never was intended as something to truly depend on. Other factors are important. It is but one measure to be taken in context.

His barometer looks spot on perfect. Looks like he has fine tuned it like a trained professional, very impressive.

Oh now I can’t take any credit for the fine-tuning... 
I do have something else tho I need help with.  My Ham callsign changed this morning from N1DDC to AK4FD, how can I get that changed on all my listings?

If you change it in your profile, forum profile settings. It will automatically change the display on current and previous posts

No I meant on all my weather device listings, my Wx station is registered to my ham callsign.

Why did your ham callsign change?

If you want to use a different callsign you have to register them all with each service as if you were starting new. There is no renaming possible.

Even on this forum, you can't change your username. You can change your displayed name but the username is still the same. Also I see your registered email includes your old ham callsign. You'd have to register for a new email address too, right?...to be consistent I would assume.

That all seems like a lot of work. Seems that you recently registered for all these services. Did you not know you were changing call signs? I've never heard of someone changing callsign. I've seen people move and they keep using their existing callsign. So I'm just curious how this came about.

I had sent in to change my callsign almost 2 months ago and hadn’t heard anything so I had just figured it had gotten denied or something or the FCC wasn’t operating at this time so I just went ahead and set up my weather station as it was, I didn’t wanna wait and not start feeding my Wx station data because I wasn’t sure if or when I would be hearing back about it, we all know how the government is right now.  Then POOF I woke up this morning and it was done.  So to make it easier I don’t wanna derail this topic & I will just leave everything as-is so nobody has to be bothered with it and the stream doesn’t get interrupted.

but  with these... you can simply change them as they are just labels to your new one

As far as your nick ... you can change the displayed name .. no problem there

I know , doesn't get you through all the other services etc... but partial anyway.
