Master-list of all IP Bullet 8MP 4K WebCam Options! + 12MP Options!
In this post, I thought I’d reveal and compare some of the of 8MP/10MP (Megapixels) with 4K cameras covered by the main different Camera brands in the hopes of providing you some info on what the best Weather Camera is to get. 8MP (4K) is very high quality for a Weather Camera. $ will always equal USD (United States Dollar). Brand new 12MP Cameras can cost about $1000, but 8MP cameras can be bought as cheap as $100. Also note that although these cameras have 4K, many can only have 7/10/15/20/25 or 30 FPS when at 4K. Most (or all) of these Cameras here do not have Zoom capabilities. Zoom capabilities tend to double the price of the camera.

“There are three main types of cameras available for installation today. They are known as the Dome, Turret (aka Eyeball) and Bullet.”

This article will be exclusively focusing on IP Bullet Cameras that are 8MP or higher.

“An Internet Protocol camera, or IP camera, is a type of digital video camera that receives control data and sends image data via the Internet. They are commonly used for surveillance. Unlike analog closed-circuit television (CCTV) cameras, they require no local recording device, but only a local area network. Most IP cameras are webcams, but the term IP camera or netcam usually applies only to those used for surveillance that can be directly accessed over a network connection.

Some IP cameras require support of a central network video recorder (NVR) to handle the recording, video and alarm management. Others are able to operate in a decentralized manner with no NVR needed, as the camera is able to record directly to any local or remote storage media.”

Here is a list of some of the main brands that sell 8MP IP Cameras, with links to where you can buy them. Unfortunately I lot interest in doing a super detailed comparison post between them all, but decided to still at least have a list of all the main cameras that you are able to get.

Interesting reads

This article/post was pretty rushed. I lost enthusiasm to do it really well, but I’ve still gathered as much info from as many companies as I could find. You are welcome to let me know of new companies, products, prices, mistakes, etc in the replies. I’ll be sure to correct the mistakes. (Was about to post on the 20 Jan 2020, but then the website whet down).
