I'm not sure, but starting to wonder if the ObserverIp for these is not interchangeable.
I saw on amazon in the questions for the 800 that you cannot upgrade the 800 module to the 900 sensors, and in the questions for the 900 you cannot add solar radiation. That you'd have to get the 1400.
Also in the manual for the 900 the module says the LED Flashes when on one senor is connected and is solid lit for 2 sensors (the outside temp and the outside array).
The reason I ask, I was going to build a radiation shield for my 1400 ... but why not buy a 900 ... and using the 900 ObserverIP module and out door temp sensor ... then I could simply mount my temp sensor in the shade away from my roof and apart from my Array. Problem solved.
But I am not sure if the ObserverIP that comes with say the 800 ... or the 900 (which both have an outside temp module that could be mounted in the shade) ... will even connect with the 1400 array. According to the manuals, the 900 might, but not sure if the 900 ObserverIP will "see" and connect to the 1400 array.
This would be an excellent solution to the solar radiation shield of the 1400 multi sensor array if it worked. Just buy a 1400 array and an 800 or 900 system .... solar radiation temp spikes solved.
So my question ... will the 800 or 900 ObserverIP work with the 1400 array? Either one (the 800 or 900) would give you the alternate location outside temp mount option.
