Launched Website :D
« on: May 31, 2015, 04:30:13 PM »
Just publicly launched my website after about a week of working on it and help from everyone on this forum. Seriously without this forum I definetly would not have this website right now. So without further ado here it is http://ajaxweather.altervista.org/#

I'm hoping to eventually get a paid webhost and to add a few more pages like CoCoRaHS data and other things like that. Feedback is appreciated :D

Thank you! Just a question... How did you create that banner that is in your forum signature? I've saw some people have them like that for their website just like you do.

I created that with some graphic editor software a *long* time back. ;)  Any kind of photo/graphic editing software would work. Hopefully someone who has done something similar recently can comment on software or provide suggestions.

Great  \:D/

Im really glad you were able to get over all the difficulties, I know it isnt easy when you are a beginner, but you see it is possible and Im sure you will have fun with adding new stuff etc.

Just one thing - change the link to your web here on the forum, it still points to your old web :)

That's weird. McAfee doesn't block it. I wonder if maybe it has something to do with the webhost. It's not malicious or anything I promise :D

Not sure MWB doesn't usually block websites. When it happens Avast does most blocking but MWB  doesn't like something and could be the host itself.

The host I'm using is Italian I think. I wonder if maybe the ip coming from there triggered something. I have no clue just thinking out loud here

I'm thinking of getting ajaxweather.ca as a domain. Does anyone think that would be better?

If it is available I'd grab it, also .com if available.  Easy to remember and pass on in your community!

Mine was created as a Cumulus add-on by Kevin of TNET Weather https://www.tnetweather.com/projects.  Not sure if it is compatible with MB.

Also check/search this forum - i.e. http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=26204.0

I'll have to look into the Anole script tomorrow. And hopefully get ajaxweather domain also. Only problem is I would have to get all current confit files move them then tell everyone the link has changed. Probably would be worth it in the end though
