Extreme Weather Throughout the UK

Not sure about everywhere else in the world, but the UK has seen some extremely bad weather in the last few weeks, with the worst (especially wind wise) today. My station recorded 48mph from my roof. I am in the East of England, just North of London, while the worst of it has been in western areas and the south-west of England.

My weather station has already recorded 175.2mm this year. Last year, the yearly total had not reached this kind of figure until June:
