Better late than never. I'm using a Reolink RLC-410, 5 megapixels IP camera to capture my weather. Uploading to Webcam.io which creates and stores images, time lapses and videos. Mounted outside facing west. Image quality is very good and have even had some nice night sky captures. All time lapse videos automatically upload to my YouTube channel at the end of the day.

Very nice, as are so many here.

I don't have the scenic views but do capture some of the westerly sky and clouds... http://www.komokaweather.com/pictures/sebec/image.jpg

Enjoy,

I have finally spent some time messing around more with IP TimeLapse (IPT), been using it to ftp web cam for some time but just basic image.  Just added some overlays and weather info - credit SteveFitz1 for the WX overlay help.

Currently uploading 2 separate camera views using IPT.  I am very pleased with this software and it's performance.  Just the other day I got it to successfully upload a static image to my WU site, yes I know - utterly amazing - that WU takes it I mean.  Seriously, I have 2 instances of IPT running and both uploading to WU like clock work as well as my web site.  Hope didn't just jinx it!

Anyway, a view from the Northern Midwest, U.S.

Managed to get a cheapo webcam working as a 'weathercam' of sorts with my good old Raspberry Pi that runs Cumulus MX and Agent DVR. The weather currently is relatively dull as the majority of this summer so far has been but should be good viewing during showery days.

The link may 404 at times due to the way uploads rename themselves through FTP from .tmp to .jpg. Quick refresh should fix it!

View is stretching from W - N, updates every 10 seconds or so.

Has anyone written code to time stamp a jpg image that comes from a camera that won't do it?  I have an older Foscam that sends an FTP image every 15 minutes, but it won't time stamp the photo.

Maungaraki, Lower Hutt, New Zealand

View is looking roughly SW down Wellington Harbour

Camera is a Reolink RLC-511. Image is collected on a Raspberry Pi, and then sent up to my webserver. Have a look here if you want to know how to do that.

I've written a small script for image overlay 'a few' years ago.
Decompress in the folder where the image is.
- create a text file called webcam.txt with only 2 lines ( first line empty, second line only containing: data )
- call the script: bar2.php?nome_file=webcam
It will overlay the webcam.jpg image with the date of the file itself

Removed the ancient outdated posts /links (all hopefully) of my original weathercam links, since upgrading to SSL server, and updating here...
I was forced to remove one original Logitech feed due to EMP damage to the active USB extension, and currently have killed the other two until I can get up there and replace the USB booster and thoroughly clean the other two...

Here're Hikies! :
SnowCam (in season) IMAGE DIRECT

Southwest
IMAGE DIRECT (need to lower tower and adjust angles...)

Northwest IMAGE DIRECT

SW and NW operate without IR, generally, to help deter insects, therefore spiders.  Snowcame is active IR , since it's easily accessible for cleaning by this old f**t .
Here's link to current active streams, etc:
https://frankfortweather.us/camsUP/cam1.html

I retired the WebcamXp/Webcam7 server program only in order to add cheap SSL to cam feeds.
These are driven by the basic $50 netcam studio server, with the $25 Yearly enhanced DNS from NOIP.com, with certificate installed in NS server.
Incidentally, my 'experimental' radar also driven through the above, as a screen capture, adding Sparkocam and an app called "RadarScope"

I have 1 Hikvision IP camera (4K 8MP Bullet - DS-2CD2T85FWD-I8) that is mounted on my anemometer mast which is mounted on my roof, camera faces (East by South) Looking over the Tasman Sea (across the ditch) towards New Zealand from Beaumaris on the North East Coast of Tasmania.
I'm using IP Timelapse to capture the images every 15 seconds to create a Daily time lapse movie (saved for last 7 days) as well as a Daily Sunrise and Sunset time lapse movie (saved for last 7 days), each image has my local weather data on the lower portion (Weather Data is captured using CumulusMX Software and obtained from Davis Vantage Pro 2 with FARS,UV and Solar).

We also supply a Livestream from the same camera using Blue Iris Software : http://beaumaris-weather.com/camlivestream.php
