Hey Greg, I went to your website just now (as I've done before with never any problems) and my anti-virus program gave me a "Threat has been detected" message and blocked it.

Message info:
URL: http://simplehitcounter.com/hit.php?uid

Infection:   URL:Mal

I don't know why it decided to do this today. :-k

hmmm, I just had a Java update done and it mentioned something about my browser needed to be closed for the update. Strange when I minimize this WXforum window and open a new Google window to go to your website, I get the anti-virus message and close the window. The minimized WXforum window closes also. Makes me wonder if something in the Java update has anything to do with this.

Just answered my own question. I went into control panel/services and stopped Java from running and now everything is back to normal again with no threat error messages on your site. So something with the latest Java upgrade and my anti-virus app I guess.

I just added the little hit counter this morning.  I just looked at it here at work with IE and it didn't give me any message.  I donno.  It's strange.

Here's where I got the counter:

I've added some more banners.  If yours is wrong or you don't see it, let me know!  :)

You have mine linked to my personal page:  www.peterkutheis.com  rather than one of my weather URLs.

Greg,

I don't have a banner, per se, but I do use my webcam image in my work email signature and a WunderGround banner in my personal email signature.

Hopefully we can get added as well.  We are trying to expand the web weather and have been collecting data here in northern Michigan since Jan 2008.  I'm impressed with all the sites I ahve seen and getting some good ideas.  Trying to learn the php stuff and maybe use some of the very well done templates.

Our banner link is

Greg,

Just a thought/suggestion to make your website banner page a bit more interesting. Display the banners in a random order each time someone visits the page.

Now, I know this would take some software code to do it but I am sure someone on this forum has the technical skills (not me...) to do such a thing.

Good day to you Greg,

We just moved our weather data to a new site and thus the banner link and site link have changed.  I hate to cause more work for you but if you could - when you have time - change to the following.

The banner is at http://www.lakecityweather.org/wxbanner/wxgraphic.php?type=banner_big

The link is www.lakecityweather.org

Thanks and have a great day

edit - corrected link
