DNS problems?
« on: July 28, 2008, 04:48:19 PM »
This is the first time I've been able to visit the forums all weekend and still having some problems. This is the message that I'm getting.
Database Error: MySQL server has gone away
File: /homepages/45/d462839125/htdocs/Sources/Security.php
Line: 272Database Error: MySQL server has gone away
File: /homepages/45/d462839125/htdocs/Sources/Load.php
Line: 2005

Thanks,
Tim

There may have been an issue with the mySQL server which hosts the WXForum.net database for the forum.  I was on/off all weekend and didn't see a problem from my home system.

There was nothing in the forum SQL logs I could find ?!?

I do know that there was an urgent DNS patch that needed to be installed around the world to prevent a specific attack, and maybe HostGator was doing that at the time.

Best regards,
Ken
