Topic: Ambient Weather WS 1090 indoor temp innacurate

I bought the Ambient Weather WS 1090 at the end of August. It worked great until yesterday. I wasn't getting any readings, just all black lines. I moved it away from the computer (it says in the manual that computers can interfere with it) and within a couple minutes I was getting some readings, but not all. I reset it and left the batteries out for about 15 minutes then put the batteries back in. I was getting all readings within a couple minutes but the indoor temp is very inaccurate. It was reading 189.6F and now says 189.4F. I've looked all through the book and online but I'm not finding any info. All I can find is about the outdoor temp being inaccurate, but mine is right. Any suggestions?

Welcome to the forum! My suggestion would be:

Is the console near a heat source e.g. a radiator or a light for example.

I think this can take some effect in your over-read.

Thanks for the reply The console isn't by any sort of heat source...it gets moved around frequently anyways. It currently says it's 190.1 F in my house. Pretty sure that's not right...

maybe try running on mains power and or put in new batteries?

That is the wall mount power pack to use house AC power but by reading through your manual it appears the console/display is battery only.

Just out of curiosity, when you switch the readings over to display in Celsius does it display this high also, ~87?  You may have a faulty inside temp/humidity sensor. Being only a couple weeks old you may be able to still exchange it.

Hi All! Just joined. I had my weather station for about 10 Months now and my weather station just started to show a temperature of 185.5*F Indoors. Leaving power off overnight to see if it helps. I do have an RMA in for 1 Year Warranty. Just Incase...
