Near Tabernash, Colorado
« on: May 05, 2008, 10:37:45 AM »
I recently found this site and joined.  After viewing some of the personal weather sites here, I can see that mine is rather primitive.  I mainly started it so that second home owners could see what the weather was like here as opposed to their main residence.

My current station is a Davis wireless Weather Monitor II running Weatherlink software.  It has a rain collector heater to measure moisture during the winter and also has FARS.  I am located about 4 miles from Tabernash, Colorado at 8800 feet elevation.  The town of is at about 8350 feet and is the lowest point in a high mountain valley.  In the winter, on a clear night, the temperature at my house and town will be 10-15 warmer than in town.

Here is my weather site, such as it is:  http://www.mbobier.com/History_Monitor.htm

zackdog,
Welcome to the site! You'll find a ton of useful information and loads of help here. Don't worry about your "primative" looking site. We all started out at the same place. It has taken me several years to get my site where I want it, and I still have some things I want to upgrade... It's a blackhole hobby! LOL! Again, welcome aboard!  =D>

Thanks for the welcome.  I probably won't be doing many changes until next winter.  With the coming (very slowly) of spring and summer, most of my time and money will be taken up with my fly fishing addiction.

Very few brookies, mostly browns, rainbows and cutthroats.

Mark,

If you are interested, please consider joining the Rocky Mountain Weather Network.  You can read a bit more about it here:  http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=1671.0.

Also see our website at http://www.rockymountainweather.net/.

We'd love to have more stations on the western slope.
