We're now starting to see how the changes will affect us.  Here's an interesting experimental page!  It's under 'Forecasts' at my WFO, and you define your forecast area.  XML of this forecast is available, and the forecast can be modified from it's page.  Interesting granularity involved here.

There's some 'sploring to do!

That table is different. Check out the subdirectory the NWS has this in.

The bold formatting mangled the url.  Removing that and the ellipses gives me a 'Forbidden' message.  'Multiple Choices' results in two other dead ends, which is the result with the ellipses included.

That's pretty funny.  Someone at NWS with a sense of humor?

It works fairly well in an iframe except it runs off the page a little bit.  Here's what the forecast for my area looks like.

Nice job!  There's lots of meat there to scrape off when time and if talent were to permit me to do so.  I'm thinking of adding just a link for now, but the iframe works fairly well, too.

I found the json file that has the text for the Weather Story.
It was like finding that hidden Easter egg!

I'll be experimenting with this to see what happens during a Graphical Nowcast and how many WFO's have this.

Curly, you've probably already saw this page but just in case.... http://www.weather.gov/ilx/newpage-welcome It has some info.
As stated on there, ALL Central Region offices have changed now.

The new pages are easy to find.
They are making it where you can't scrape text off of pages now.

Any progress, Curly?

As an interim solution I've updated my CRH Weather Stories thumbnail page to link to the WFO's Weather Story Page.  From here click on a thumbnail to go to the WFO's Weather Story.  Unfortunately you still can't extract the text and add it to the image.  On the upper right of the WFO's Weather Story Page is a dropdown that uses javascript to load any other WFO's Weather Story Page of choice.  Just linking to the NWS CRH Weather Story of your choice via a menu item might be the preferred choice of some to my thumbnails page.

I've attached my script if anyone's interested.

Should be done soon!
