The video on the news is unbelievable.  I can't believe those tractor trailers flying around in the air.

Shocker to me! I had a couple of last minute changes in my plans for my return drive from Tampa. If I didn't make those changes, I would've been in Dallas with my little 2 seater rag-top today.

Judging by those 18 wheelers flying around, I don't think I would've fared well.

I have several friends in the Metroplex, one lives in Arlington.  Didn't hear from him for a while after I'd talked to him as they were approaching.  He got a lot of wind, hail and heavy rain but no damage.

Amazing to see the big rigs fly 100s of feet in the air while one or two streets over, you see cars driving by.

And in perspective, empty, each one of those weighs about 15,000 lbs and are 53 feet long.  If they are fully loaded, the trailers weigh close to 50,000 lbs.

goes to show you, you dont need a high risk to get large damaging tornadoes. Crazy how spring storm season is starting where the last one ended, large tornadoes hitting heavily populated areas. Unfortunately this trend should continue as we continue to expand our suburbs.

Crazy footage for everyone around this tornado. Amazing how isolated these things can be from total devastation to house while the next one over is missing some shingles.

Amazing power these "mini cyclones" have (as the Aussie's call them). My prayers and best wishes for a speedy recovery goes out as well.

Heard 2nd hand that my cousin who lives in the area had his car destroyed by softball sized hail. All windows broken out and huge dent marks all over the place.
Believe it or not he did drive it home from work.

Some years back a hail storm destroyed windows and cars here in Bowling Green. People had no choice but to drive with broken windows for weeks until replacement windows were available.

Those are some incredible stories and images on here! Hope nobody was hurt, but unfortunately, stories like this will only become more frequent with the ever more urbanization of the world

I live in south central Arlington. The injury list is remarkably low with no deaths in the entire DFW area. Many people who had cars parked at DFW suffered heavy damage from the hail.
I sat glued to radar on the computer and TV for two hours. I don't think I lost a shingle. My stationed recorded 22 MPH max wind and .50 rain which occurred after the tornado had passed. I rotated my roof camera frequently, but never saw a tornado.
