Title: Clientraw.txt file on WDL application
Post by: tilde on March 28, 2008, 06:20:52 AM
Dear Sirs,
this is my first request over the wxforum.
I'm developping a software for a web server used with DAVIS PRO2 weather station. You can check a first sample at the address: http://meteosystem1.dyndns.org
With this units it's possible see the WDL program (on the above example I'm using a DAVIS PRO2 weather station) without using a computer. Actually the WDL inside the web server is the version 4.02; because of I'd like update it to vers 5.03 I need more information over the Clientraw.txt file.
Somebody know the Clientraw.txt file  structure ?  I need also the structure of other txt files that WDL can manage (clientrawdaily.txt, clientrawestra.txt ect..)
Please if somebody can help me, I'll be grateful.
Cheers

Hi, and welcome to the forum!

One of the best ways to see the current structure of the Weather-Display clientraw.txt (also clientrawhourly.txt, clientrawextra.txt and clientrawdaily.txt) is to use the WD Clientraw Parser at
http://www.tnetweather.com/wd-parser.php

Just point it to your website and it will decode/display the current contents (and structure) of the 4 files.

Best regards,
Ken

In your WD folder you can find a file named clientrawdescription.txt that documents these files.  At http://www.tnetweather.com/wd-parser.php Kevin has a parser that will show you your current data and it also shows the structure.  Lastly, he's also kept up documentation of the files at http://www.tnetweather.com/nb-0100.php .  Hopefully these will all help you find what you need.

Good luck. - Jim

And Ken beat me to it but here it is anyway.
