Charter/Spectrum people, you could change your DNS settings to add 4.2.2.2 and 8.8.8.8 in your router.
This should make it work.
EDIT: or use Cloudflare's DNS as mentioned by 92merc.If you don't want to use Google's DNS, you could run
https://www.grc.com/dns/benchmark.htm and pick off a couple that you like and are fast.
I spent a lot of time with both my hosting service and Charter yesterday. I ran some tests and sent the results. From what anyone can tell, it is a breakdown somewhere after it leaves Charter's network. I suspect that the packet loss and DNS might be related and Charter has a partial cache of DNS that doesn't include my domains.
My hosting service says everything is OK on their end. (I believe them)
I dread the prospect of moving everything to a new host...
