Title: Davis VP2 Nazareth, PA
Post by: METARMan on October 30, 2019, 07:08:22 PM
I tried the EcoWitt and couldn't get it connected to my router, so I decided to pick up some work and purchased a VP2.  I also have a Davis passive shield (which I'm very impressed with).  My ISS is only about 4 feet high which I hope satisfies the neighbors -- also, my backyard is on a slope so I'm hoping the non standard height isn't as significant issue during nighttime stratification.

My anemometer is about 45 feet high.  First time in my life I've had a setup that has excellent exposure.

The closest METAR site is KABE, which is about 7 miles southwest.

For some reason (using WeatherLink), the rainfall displayed shows a rolling 24 hour count on Weather Underground and not the calendar day total.

Looks like a great setup to me working with the conditions you have. Enjoy your new Davis unit! They’re awesome!
