Add to Index Page?
« on: June 14, 2012, 10:13:28 AM »
Is it possible to add to the index page (Like weather maps) at the bottom of the page without messing up the layout of the cumulus template?

Just thought I would ask before I start another project...

Thanks! 8-)

You can add anything to a template, you just have to know how to do it so it doesn't mess it up!  :-)

Thanks Steve! I'm going to work on looking at the components of the template and see how I can get weather maps to display under the station data 8-)

1. Make a copy of your existing c:\cumulus\web\indexT.htm file and save it - i.e. indexT-date-backup.htm so you can return to the original if needed
2. Open the existing c:\cumulus\web\indexT.htm in notepad++
3. Add the applicable code and links you want immediately above the
</body>
</html>
4. Save the edited indexT.htm file (in the same c:\cumulus\web\ folder)
5. At your configured internet interval Cumulus will automatically process and upload the edited indexT.htm to your website as an updated index.htm file
5a. If you don't want to wait for the automatic Cumulus process and upload you can do a manual update by clicking [File] and [Web Update] from the main Cumulus console
6. Your Cumulus main or "now" webpage will reflect the changes you have made

Use your browsers 'View source' to get an idea for adding links, etc.
