Traceable 1087 remote temp/humidity sensor (433 MHz)

I have this really cool atomic clock that has a 433 MHz remote temperature and humidity sensor.

The remote sensor has failed.

The manufacturer of the clock and others do not sell the remote sensor separately (ridiculous). 

Can I use a different sensor that is compatible and can communicate with this unit?
