Exciting confirmation from Ecowitt that there is a new combined AQM sensor being developed for sale.
It will be a CO2, PM2.5 and the much asked for PM10 as well
It will also include temperature and humidity
Early days but this sound a good development for those interested in Air Quality

I think that's probably unlikely as the device would need to incorporate a heater to dry the sampled air as the professional systems do.
Though its possible I suppose that the sensor will be able to compensate somehow when it detects high humidity so its possible that there might be some improvement for high humidity events like mist/fog/heavy rain that impacts PM detection.
I guess we will need to wait and see, but quite exciting none the less!

Do the PurpleAir air quality sensors have a heater in them? I know they use the Plantower PMS5003 sensor which shows a working humidity range of 0-99% on the datasheet (https://www.aqmd.gov/docs/default-source/aq-spec/resources-page/plantower-pms5003-manual_v2-3.pdf).

The Plantower sensor will work width humidity range 0-99%. That does not mean the measurements are as correct as a heated professional station.
None of the consumer versions will work that good in high humidity conditions. They all over-estimate the PM.
I own 2 Luftdaten, 1 PurlpleAir and 2 Ecowitt sensors.
All have the same "problem" with high humidity, and they follow roughly the same graph-path when humidity increases.

I was going to reply with the exact same thing! The Co2 readings were awesome.
I really hope that an app can be developed that can allow notifications for weather events/high Co2 etc..
I can't speak for everybody, but i'm pretty sure that a lot of people crave to get notified that it has just started raining, or a wind gust exceeded 50mph. Such a high percentage of people carry a device of some sort and they reply on being notified for everything.

Ecowitt.net already has these notification email alerts. Perhaps not as defined as we would like, but that is only a matter of minor development as the infrastructure is already there to do all this.

Indeed, you can certainly set an alert for wind speed breaching a certain value on Ecowitt.net to send you an e-mail
Likewise for PM2.5 values, so I am sure when the new sensor is released that alerts will be available against these values!

Getting emails is a waste of time. I don't use email on a mobile device, only on a laptop or PC. It's a redundant feature for me.
Push notifications need to be implemented somehow. It's the best way forward.
