Humidity Problem
« on: May 08, 2021, 01:35:18 PM »
Hi,

I woke up a few days ago to find my humidity at 1%.  Later in the day I ordered a new SHT31 sensor then as an afterthought, I unplugged/plugged back in the sensor from the ISS board.  Within an hour or so I was again getting "normal" readings.  It didn't last as I have had low dips since.

I am sitting here waiting for the postal person to deliver my new sensor and decided to take a look at CumulusMX charts just to see how the humidity line has tracked.

I have not received any battery low warnings, but check out the attached pic.  For the last two days, the humidity has started dropping around 2100 and started back up around 0730.

Thoughts on this situation?

New sensor just showed up, think I will wait to hear thoughts on this situation before I install it.

Edit:  Been reading other  posts and also noticed that my year high humidity is only 96% - Heading out to change the sensor, will post back with results.

I found this interesting to follow as we have the same VP2+.
When was your VP2+ installed?
Do you report to any sites where I might see your charts?
Mine was installed Aug, 2020.

That's typical of a failed/failing Humidity sensor in a moist environment through the night then come morning with a bit of sun the sensor goes back to being normal
