ICDSoft Hosting

92merc:
I was doing a chat with ICDSoft to move my hosting and DNS to them.  They provide Let's Encrypt certificates, which is what I'm using currently.

When I asked them if their CPanel lets you download the certificates so I can use them on my home web servers, they said no.  I find that odd.  Can anyone with ICD confirm that?

When I go into my GoDaddy CPanel, I have a section that I can manage my certificates.  That includes viewing them to copy/paste the data into cert files.  I would have thought that was a feature baked into CPanel.

The only thing I see in the Let's Encrypt area is ability to Enable/Disable for each domain and sub-domain.

92merc:
Bummer.  I was really hoping to switch.  I run 6 subdomains at home, plus a few personal devices I put that cert on.

Thanks for checking.

Mapantz:
Shouldn't it be under "Security" SSL/TLS?

SSL/HTTPS according to this example: https://www.icdsoft.com/en/hosting/controlpanel

Is it me, or does that look like cpanel from the 90's?

92merc:
I found that sample Control Panel after I made my last post.  I was able to see what I needed.

What's weird is ICD will do an automatic Let's Encrypt cert.  But they won't give you access to it in the panel, so that you can use it elsewhere.  I use my certs on my home systems as well.  So I need access.

I could use my current method of using Certify the Web program and renew the certs.  But I'd still be manually installing them like I am now to my host.  I was hoping to avoid that.

No matter.  After some testing, I think I'll be going to self hosting on my Synology next year when my hosting is due.

Thank you
