On getting an image, this link and galfert's original instructions might be worth a try...

That is basically the process. Find out the URL syntax to get an image (still shot) from your model camera. Some cameras do not have this capability. Some cameras have this capability but it is not documented in the user manual, but then searching the internet for your model or brand along with the words; "URL jpg" or similar searches might yield some answers. You can also try contacting the manufacturer for more information.
I know the 410 has the ability to FTP an image but I haven't found a way to have the MB pull an image.
Is it possible to FTP an image to the MB?
The Meteobridge can only pull an image via a URL as I mentioned above. Unless the camera is a Ubiquity brand and then you can use that method in the Meteobridge to pull an image by just supplying IP/password. You cannot FTP the image to the Meteobridge.
For direct camera FTP of image to WU, be careful not to confuse your camera's capability to FTP as being the same as being able to FTP an image. Many cameras have an FTP configuration menu but that is for FTPing video (motion) and not a jpg still image. Totally different things. Besides even cameras that can FTP a still image jpg may have no way to optionally reduce the image size. WU will block an FTP image that is too big. The URL method to send image to WU I don't believe has an image limitation, but I'm not certain.
The Meteobridge can FTP the image to WU that it acquires from the camera's image URL but it will not reduce the size of the image. The Meteobridge cannot process any camera image...it just doesn't have the power (resources). When the Meteobridge sends the image to the Meteobridge.com hosting domain it also sends the Overlay Text. But this overlay text is not occurring inside of the Meteobridge. No graphical editing is occurring in the Meteobridge. The Meteobridge just sends the image exactly as it copies it from the camera's URL and forwards it along with the overlay text. Then the server(s) at Meteobridge.com are the ones that process the overlay text onto the image. The Meteobridge.com server(s) use an open source software called ImageMagick to do the overlay text work. You can read up about ImageMagick at their website to learn how to do image manipulation stuff and then enter those commands into the Meteobridge so that they get passed to the Meteobridge.com server(s) to do the work you want. Meteobridge.com provides you with two links to your image, with and without overlay text. You can then provide these URLs at Meteobridge.com to any website that is designed to pull an image via public URL....like WU, AWEKAS, Windy, WOW....etc. You find out what these two image links are from your Meteobridge's Weather Network tab.
Is there anyway to tell if the Meteobridge has successfully acquired an image? I would like to see that MB has an image before I try to upload it my AWEKAS weather page.
Well the Meteobridge is not going to send the image to AWEKAS as I explained above. The image comes from Meteobridge.com which is where the Meteobridge sends the image. There are several ways to know that the Meteobridge has successfully processed your image.
- On the Weather Station tab the External Picture settings will have a green check box if the URL you entered is able to pull an image from your camera.
- On the Weather Network tab the Meteobridge Weather Camera upload module will have a green check mark next to Upload Interval. This module only uploads to Meteobridge.com.
- on the Live Data tab there will be a green check mark next to Meteobridge Weather Camera in the Network status showing the last upload time stamp.
- You can go the the Meteobridge.com link of your image to see the image with and without text. You get this link from the Weather Network tab by clicking on the two camera icons (with and without text).
Then you can provide the Meteobridge.com image link to any site that accepts an image URL.
