Dobrý den do Brna,

I use this new screen layout.
But I have a little problem.
At temperatures below zero degrees, there is no minus sign.
See this thread:
http://www.wxforum.net/index.php?topic=27835.0
Now I ask very carefully  -
Could it be that the bug has something to do with the screen layout  :? ?

hi

try this might help can't confirm as we still are hitting 20c in the daytime  ,unless i put the indoor sensor in the freezer for an hour ....

just replace the font images in the themes/FONTS folder  (zip file attached)

note the data readout is actually a png sprite not a real font) all i did was lift the transparency on the minus sign , it is there but may be too much transparency on it. might help if it don't its something else altogether

Thanks for reply.
The new .png files are now on my WS-1001.
Danish Meteorological Institute think I unfortunately have to wait more than two weeks before I can see if it works. We still have an unusually mild autumn and temperatures above zero degrees Celsius.
I give a hint when I know more.

First post on here, but, I'd like to say a big thank you to the OP who made those new graphics.
I have a clone of the WS-1001, made by 'Aercus' - I'm pretty farmiliar and confident when it comes to meddling with things like this, so I had no hesitation of updating to it, and it looks brilliant!
PS: Read through all the posts, so no data was lost, etc..

Many thanks. :-)

Quick question; I've noticed that the time and sunset/sunrise font is still the same as the original one, is it not possible to change it to the one that is used for the rest of the display?

hi

not sure are you saying the icons or the text on sunrise , icons should be different from original however the text output would require editing the executable file which can be risky if not to familiar with the code. I won't do it too risky . nothing worse than having a screwed up rom file .

if its the icons check they are in the folder THEME/SUN

I don't suppose anybody could send me the zip again, from the first post? I have another unit, but the link no longer exists. :(

Many thanks.

hi diego

this was fixed a few weeks ago but if you need the new font files here it is http://www.idesign34.com/pwszip/fonts.zip  , just need to replace the png files in the THEMES/FONTS folder.  you can test it upon bootup you should see dashes while the unit searches for sensors .

hope that helps .

It looks like you haven't done it properly. I had the same issue until I saw the posts on here- rectified it after downloading the link to the fixed font files.
I suggest trying again, and make sure your console definitely says it is upgrading the firmware. :)

That's the way I did it. I Changed the firmware number up a digit, so that it treats it as a firmware upgrade. As I mentioned, it worked.

Looks like the download links have been removed. Does anyone have the latest version available still with the font fixes?

He removed it and I don't even think anyone can send it to you because he said the files are protected...

Yes, protected and we had a long discussion about it on a different forum.... :D I would rather not talk about this any more... the bottomline is he several times "left" this forum only to come back a bit later, then problems started again and now he is (most likely) gone for good. It is a shame, he is skillful, but the problem was his attitude and approach and there are things I would rather not talk about...

I am not exactly sure what he did, but he did make some protection inside the JS files so that it only worked if you wrote to him and he sent you the code via email with some ID or so (which he does not do any more and for some reason left the homepage online, probably to provoke people who would like to use it)

Yes, you are absolutely right, it is in fact not that difficult as he thinks... especially if you simply download the original jQuery code and do simple comparison. But I did not mention this on the other forum and did not even crack the code simply because of his approach and if he wants it to be protected... his decision. Plus he is no longer interested in developing it and does not even want to offer it so I guess there is not much point in dealing with it.
