Fireflies, everywhere !

Took (19-22june25) the long way home eastward-through upper  PA and we were astounded as to the number of fireflies we saw. In one large field, perhaps 100a-there were many thousands for as far as we could see; wonderful to behold.
Curious as to if others have had a similar experience this year?

Funny, I remarked the same thing to my wife here in northeast Georgia, a banner year for the "lightin' bugs"!

Friend returned back from VT with the same experience, said it was unlike anything they had ever seen-then added that they think it is a 'sign' :-k
