Atlas WiFi Display (06099) Daily Rain Total on WU
« on: April 29, 2025, 12:18:51 PM »
I am having a problem with my Atlas WiFi Display 06099 and the daily rain totals on Weatherunderground being reset nightly to zero at 7:00 PM. The rain totals on the display itself are behaving correctly, and get reset nightly at Midnight like I expect them to.

I have the correct time zone selected for my Atlas on WU and all the other Atlas weather information have the correct time stamp. Its just the rain total being set to zero at 7:00 pm that is the problem.

I am not understanding or missing something with my WU setup, any suggestions?

This is what WU says about the source of your data: Software:myAcuRite

I'd look carefully at what you see after logging in here: https://www.myacurite.com/#/login

No problems with the rain total resetting at midnight on MyAcuRite.com.

I figured out that the rain total is being reset to zero using Greenwich Mean Time which is 5 hours ahead of Central Time. I have the correct time zone selected in Weather Underground and all other sensors have the correct time stamp. Its just that the rain total gets reset to zero on GMT.

Believe it to be a firmware problem on the display with its Weather Underground handshake. I guess I need to contact AcuRite ... but I'm too lazy to do that right now. Maybe later.
