Boris,
Everything looks good. One thing I noticed though is that the sensors seem to all update at different intervals. Sometimes as high as 30 and 40 seconds. I understand the Extra indoor and PM2.5 may not not report as frequently (I think those do every 60 seconds), but I was not expecting this strange behavior from the Outdoor sensors including temp, wind, rain and solar which I'm pretty sure send updates every 14 seconds to the GW1000.

Data is coming in for all sensors every 5 seconds, but if nothing has changed no data update is done. after 45 secs latest updates are forced. This is to reduce unnecessary writes on systems that store data. Therefore, you don't miss anything. When a change happens it will be logged immediately.

Thank you Boris for working so hard this week to finally accomplish this integration of the GW1000 with the Meteobridge. I'm more than pleased and I'm glad I helped facilitate this. I'm just the broker, you all (Fine Offset, Ecowitt, and Boris) did all the work. I think this will be a win for everyone, Fine Offset, Ecowitt and of course Meteobridge.

Some other manufactures should take a big lesson from this. This is what gets accomplished by working together. Making an API available so that users can easily do what they want with their data, is what it is all about. Which enables products like the Meteobridge to exist and expand our enjoyment and use of our weather stations.

Ecowitt has asked that I not release the API at this moment. They allowed me to work with Boris for the Meteobridge as this was something that was important for them. They will release the API documentation when they finish developing the API as there are still things they are working out. The existing API documentation is also not complete. Ecowitt said the API will not be complete for a long while. I don't know what exactly that time frame means. I'm guessing many weeks which probably means months.

I can tell you from having looked at the API that it isn't something you can guess and figure out. Figuring out the port that is used is simple enough with a port scanner. But after that you'd have to know what commands to send to the GW1000 to get it to talk back to you. It isn't doing a blind broadcast. There is no internal webpage. All this could change as the firmware is developed though.

I think something some people forget is that the Meteobridge is capable of sending data to Weather-Display software. So if you run Weather-Display you can get the data from the Meteobridge...which got it from the GW1000. Eh ...well it's something. But I'm not saying you need Weather-Display software, I'm just saying it is another place to send data besides everything the Meteobridge already does.

I've worked very hard at developing a relationship with various companies and individuals. But that is only a result of having discovered and submitted feedback for various bugs and product development ideas, product testing and documentation revising and editing. I've also written a good many tutorials, projects and help tips. And I've consistently provided support to numerous users. So I'm having fun but I've also put in a lot time and work into this community. I don't see it though as that I'm the only one having all the fun. Everything I've done is with the purpose of sharing my knowledge and experience to help others get more enjoyment from their weather station. Lastly I've respected all the brands and I've tried to represent options to people without bias.

Hi, our engineers are working hard on that now and the api will be available in May or June. We'll add a water leakage sensor and a ultrasonic rain gauge to the wifi weather sensor series in the future.
Can you wait for that?
Once they are available, we'll let you know.:)
Thanks for your kind understanding.

I manage to send Lucy an email about the Api but luckily I found this solution. Thank Lucy for the news.
I have other few questions and I think it is better to post here for everyone rather send a private email.

I am working to get the weather data/soil moisture from remote fields and the WH6006E with 3G network is perfect. I am wondering anybody tried it before. It would be perfect if Lucy answer these questions as well :).

- How many soil moisture sensors can be attached to the WH6006E receiver?
- How long the AA battery of the WH51 soil moisture sensor last in the outdoor condition?

Thank you,

Hi, sorry for the delay. Here are the answers to your questions:
1. Currently only one WH51 soil moisture sensor can be attached to the WH6006E receiver.
2. In normal, it can work for one year(batteries not included).

Any other question, please let us know.:)

Just a quick question if I may..

I have signed up to the Ecowitt site (I have some items ordered from them) Can I view users data on their website? I can't find anything that points me in the direction of weather data.

Dear all,

We have updated the WS View App to support our wifi weather stations to upload all sensors data(including the indoor sensors) to our free weather server: https://www.ecowitt.net.
The supported wifi weather stations are:
HP3501 TFT Wifi Weather Station: https://bit.ly/2Ug8T9O
WH2320 LCD Wifi Weather Station: https://bit.ly/2RiZCvH
WH2910 Color Display Wifi Weather Station: https://bit.ly/2KQhqvV
HP2551 Large TFT Wifi Weather Station: https://bit.ly/2D4K7UO
HP3500 TFT Color Weather Station: https://bit.ly/2DjA6UU

The operation is also very simple:
1. Go to your phone's app store to download or update the latest WS View app.
2. Click your device on the Device List of the app and update the wifi firmware to V1.3.2.
3. After the updating, click your device again to enter the ecoiwtt.net uploading page.
4. On the ecowitt.net uploading page, enable the ON button(displayed blue) and set the uploading interval time.
5. Copy the MAC address(will be used to add the device on the server later)
6. Press Save on the page.
7. Press Register at ecowitt.net and finish the registration on the page.
8. Press the upper left menu button and select Devices.
9. Press Add Device and input all the information needed.
10. Press Save.
11.Press Dashboard on the menu. Your sensor data would be available on the dashboard within several minutes.

Note: When select device address on map, please wait till the map display before select your address.
You may add a shortcut of the ecowitt.net website on the home page of your phone for quick access.

Note:  If you have added optional sensors, such as WH51 soil moisture sensor, WH41 PM2.5 sensor, WH31 Multi-channel temp & humidity sensor to the above weather stations, you'll need to update the firmware(pending) of the console to ensure all the optional sensors data can be accepted by the ecowitt.net.
We'll let you know the new firmware for each weather station is available.:)

Note: The IOS version is under review now and will be available soon.

Any question, please let us know.:)

Best Regards,
Lucy from ecowitt

Good work  [tup] The update was successful and I can now send and view data on ecowitt.net . My station is Misol WH2900 but it is similar to ecowitt WH2910C and is managed through the WS view app.

Excellent, I too can report my HP2551 has updated successfully and is now uploading the basic sensor data to Ecowitt.net.
I am very interested in the additional capability to upload data in WU or Ecowitt format to any custom server location. This might solve my problem in trying to get cumulus MX to work with the HP2551.
Failing that I shall wait for the GW-1000 API to be released as that must be the easiest route to get the sensor data to my Raspberry PI and Cumulus MX in a format it can process!

Good to see this also works for other generic Fine Offset kit.

Hi Mandrake, the function for our wifi weather station(including HP2551) to upload to customized server(having the same protocol with ecowitt.net or weather underground) is available on the app now. You can have a try and let us know if there's any question.:)
