HP2551 and GW1000 with erroneous wind data
« on: December 09, 2019, 01:24:04 AM »
Hi everybody,

I've got HP2551 and GW1000 several weeks ago. I'm very happy of this.

Today it is storm. And I have already seen this bug several times. The datas are not necessarily the same on the screen of HP551 and on the ecowitt.net datas.

Otherwise, the GW1000 is well with the same transmitter anemometer.

It seems the wrong data is on ecowitt.net.

The data displayed on Ecowitt.net will not tally exactly with that displayed on the console or the GW1000 live data.
There is a degree of averaging going on some values and the time slice that the data is taken affects what exact values are displayed.

This is most evident if you upload to Ecowitt.net from both GW1000 and the HP2551. Rapidly changing values like wind will often be very different in terms of peak gusts.
Slowly updating values like Humidity or Temperature will be much closely aligned since the point of upload will make little difference.

Ok, thank you. I understand that for all values, but for the gusts, it seems more questionable to me ...
