Sending Data
« on: December 01, 2017, 03:04:32 PM »
I have a Davis Pro2 Weather Station that is connected to wunderground.com For some reason it is not transferring data. The computer hooked to the weather station is connected to the internet. I am a middle school teacher so someone might have messed with it. By the way I am technologically challenged. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it? Thanks

Technologically challenged here too.
Do you mean it was working at one time and now it's not?
Also what software are you using to send your data to WU?

Try rebooting the computer.

Try looking at the WeatherLink log file.

Try consulting whoever set up the system in the first place.

I see that your station sent data to Weather Underground at least once today:

Weather History for Redfield, IA [KIAREDFI2]
Weather History Table
December 5, 2017
Time    Temperature    Dew Point    Humidity    Wind    Speed    Gust    Pressure    Precip. Rate.    Precip. Accum.    UV    Solar
10:41 AM    30.1 °F    17.5 °F    59 %    WNW    11 mph    15 mph    30.06 in    0 in    0 in    0    97 w/m²

What did you do around then?
Also, what kind of data logger did you purchase?  I don't see that anywhere in your history.

I am not sure what I did but I got it working. It has been frustrating the heck out of me. I am going to unhook the mouse and keyboard, so my students can't mess with it. Thanks for all of your help. I really appreciate it.

It was whatever you did, right before:

1:26 PM    34.8 °F    15.1 °F    44 %    WNW    14 mph    14 mph    30.01 in    0 in    0 in    0.8    404 w/m²
1:36 PM    34.9 °F    13.5 °F    41 %    NW    14 mph    21 mph    30.01 in    0 in    0 in    0.8    394 w/m²

And if you could remember, and post that answer here, then perhaps it would help someone else.

I had suggested:
Quote
Try rebooting the computer.
Try looking at the WeatherLink log file.

Did you do either of those things?

First thing I tried was rebooting the computer and it didn't work. Yesterday I just went to File on the WeatherLink program and went to Wunderground settings. For some reason my station ID got erased and password got erased. Betting on some kid that was mad at me. On my wunderground web page, I went to My PWS link and found my station ID and station key. I typed that into my Wunderground settings and it started working. Thanks everybody and dalecoy have a Merry Christmas.
