Topic: new firmware version for GW3000: V1.0.6

Hi!

There's a new firmware version V1.0.6 available for the GW3000.
Use the current WSView Plus app or the web interface of the GW3000 ("Device Setting") to update.

Changelog for V1.0.6:

• Optimized Socket secure closure
• SD Recording & Upload Interval optimization

No problems so far.

This is the version I've been testing which ensures that custom server and SD card writes happen on consistent intervals.

However this does not mean they happen on the minute exactly as they confirmed to me that the GW3000 does not have the ability to do this.

I have suggested to them that SD card records should have the seconds added to the time value and that a Unix timestamp should be added as well.

I have just tried to update my GW3000 to this but it gives me 'Check firmware failed! I have 1.0.5.8 running!

I'm getting Failed as well.  But I did just notice that the Ecowitt Weather Site was having server issues again this morning.

I am going to wait several days on this update lest it is being withdrawn like the latest GW1200 firmware.

Yes looks like a server issue as my GW2000 just got the same message as well!

I just updated with no problems.

there was an issue with the upgrade server which has been corrected meanwhile
