Well Jim, I bit the bullet and upgraded firmware to the file I mentioned above.  All went well and it now shows in the settings an area to set elevation.  So, without messing with the ABS, I set my elevation and away I go....

I take it the ABS setting didn't change when you did your upgrade.  I completely forgot to look at mine before I did it, but according to the METAR sit about 9 miles away, I am not off by much.

No, my ABS did not change.  CWOP continues to say i am well calibrated, but as someone else pointed MADIS QC really just compares you to neighboring sites, so its really averaging everyone else's errors.  I leave my Ambient panel set with ABS keeping CWOP happy, but set my GW1100 to match my nearby airport more better.  I adjusted my elevation slightly on the Ambient panel so the SLP on the Ambient and the Ecowitt match.  Not a big altitude difference, just enough to keep all the readings happy.
