Quick Question
- Is an Ecowitt WH32 compatible with and Ambient Weather IP Observer (older one)?  I am trying to set up a 3rd station from old parts but do not have an outside temp sensor.

I should be - but at the end of the day it'll be trial and error  \:D/

I have an Ecowitt WN32 (outdoor) in use with my Ambient WS-2000. The WS-2000 was purchased in Aug. 2021.

Talk to me about the Sensor in the T/H/P Sensor on the GW1200

Do you think that is more or less accurate than the sensor in side the WH31?

Does the probe on the GW1200 respond faster?

I don't think so. It is likely to have the same reporting times (see WiKi).
The advantage of a WN32P is that you can measure the indoor T/RH independent of the location of the gateway.

Well the Expansion Continues.

Just ordered the ...
WH46D and
GW3000

I plan to convert the GW1200 to all inside T/H sensors and then use the GW3000 for outside sensors, garden environmental control and station reporting to weather sites.

The GW1200 had just gotten too crowded. (see link)

I thought I might get the soon to be released WFC02,  but after looking into Drip Irrigation and the low water demands,  I think I do not need the 1" valve for the additional money of the WFC01.  I only have 3/4" water line so I not sure how much benefit I would see (if any) with the WFC02.

OK so I just got the New Air Quality sensor,  the WH46D today.

So good so far, It just joined in to my existing GW1200.

BUT ... The Indoor Temp and Humidity are wrong.  And I cannot find a place to calibrate this in the Web UI.  Can the temp and humidity of the WH46D be calibrated? I found the CO2 and Particle Calibration,  but there is not temp there.

Is it within the tolerances stated in the manual?

Temperature Metering Accuracy:
±0.8°C (1.5°F) when 15°C to 35°C (59°F to 95°F)
±1.5°C (2.7°F) when-10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F)
Humidity Metering Accuracy:
± 6%RHwhen 15°Cto 35°C (59°F to 95°F)
± 9%RHwhen-10°C to 60°C (14°F to 140°F)

It wasn't earlier today ... I had a 2.7F difference.  But now that things have kinda normalized I guess,  YES ... Yes it is.  It is with in 0.3F of my Reference T/H sensor.

And Humidity was off 6%,  not it is off 1% to my reference.  So I guess it is good to go.

I still would like to have the option to calibrate this sensor to my reference.

Besides this unit, I have 7 inside temp humidity sensors, 1 on the GW1200, 1 with my display console, and 2 outside. I first put them all together uncalibrated.   After about 3 hour,  I took the 4 that read the same and used the one must in the middle for temp and humidity of all the other sensors.  That became my reference that I calibrate all the others and any new sensors to.

I made it in a similar way with my WN32P as reference:
https://meshka.eu/Ecowitt/dokuwiki/doku.php?id=beginners#temperature

I have the WH45 and its temperature and humidity values cannot be calibrated.
I assume, the WH46D behaves the same.

Thanks,  you are confirming what I am seeing.  I poked around all last evening (USA EST) and could not find anything, so that is what I had assumed.  But it has seemed to settle in and behave pretty close to my reference now.  So I'm fairly OK with it.
