Davis mac software
« on: February 06, 2025, 12:47:48 PM »
Has anyone been able to get Davis Weatherlink to work on a Mac with the M chips...IE not Intel.
I replaced an old failing Vantage Pro.  The new Vantage Pro came with the monitor so I have data regardless.
With the old system I didn't have the monitor, ran everything through a Davis wireless Envoy with the data logger.  This was plugged into my network wireless router.  I can't see Envoy with the new system.  Can't get to it with my current Macs.  I originally set it up with an old Mac that had Windows installed through a virtual machine as I couldn't get the Mac version to install.  Don't have that computer anymore and am reluctant to spend the coin to subscribe to Parallels or buy it outright at over $200 to have Windows.

As it stands now I haven't figured how to get Weather Display to connect to the new system so that's a no go....so far.

Anyway I'm wondering if anyone has been able to load Davis Weatherlink on a Mac.  Right at the minute I'm thinking that'll be the only way for me to use the Envoy.
Thanks

You can use a Weather Envoy on a Mac with a program ... e, Weather Display. You only need the Weatherlink desktop software to configure the sensor channels. Once configured, the Envoy will connect normally to any Mac software compatible with Davis stations.
