Topic: new firmware version for GW1200: V1.2.8

Hi!

There's a new firmware version V1.2.8 available for the GW1200.
Use the current WSView Plus app or the web interface of the GW1200 ("Device Setting") to update.

Changelog for V1.2.8:

• Supports IOT device WFC01 and AC1100
• T&HP sensor can replace indoor temperature, humidity, pressure data

I don't (yet) have the GW1200 in use here - so I can't provide any experience with the update.

Just installed and all seems OK. Don't have th&p sensor but it does show up in sensor ids.

the T&HP sensor is now available in the SensorsID page - wasn't there with 1.2.2

Usually I get a notification to update. I have not received one for this version.

I have a GW1200B and when queried for an update it states that I have the latest (V1.3.4) and does not allow an option for an update. I just ordered a GW3000 to replace my GW1000 before the prices go up.

You sometimes have to press the upgrade button (WebUI or WS View Plus on the Device settings page) two or three times.
Also clearing the browser or app cache helps.

You should try the WebGUI if it doesn't work via WSView Plus.

a webbrowser inside the local network - http://IP-address-of-your-GW1200  (IP can be seen in WS View Plus in the Device List)

Thank you for that information. I did not know that could be viewed that way. Still no Joy. I wonder that is a GW1200B that is the issue and that is the latest for that model.

did you click on this "check firmware" button several times ?
It sometimes only works after the 2nd/3rd hit-
the B only stands for 915 MHz RF frequency --> WiKi

Yes I did check for updates several times. I will re check in the future. All is working for now, this is the only issue. I will let it go for now for the time being. Thank you for all of your help. I did learn how to access using the desktop. Updated to v 1.3.6.
