New firmware released v1.3.6 for GW1200, installed without issues. I guess I set the ABS offset and the elevation and the REL is calculated by the elevation value. Correct?
an ABS offset is usually not needed - why would you want to correct the real-existing local air pressure ?
Unless you have a reference barometer which shows a deviation between itself and the console (or WN32P) readings, I'd leave it as it is.
I have always used one of the calibration calculation methods posted here on these forums using local airport METAR values. If I am within ± .2hPa/24 hours should that be close enough? I am not using a console, but viewing on web based applications. The biggest issue is getting all real time values from all these web base applications, some are updated at different intervals.

Thank  you for ALL the suggestions.
I saw the item that BushPilot refers to and looks good, but a bit more expensive and perhaps some overkill.  This is all playing out yet.  I may have a source of power as noted, but will have to see if I can lay another cable in the same trench to give me enough.

For enclosure aat the out of doors end, I have a Campbell sealed enclosed equipment housing that will be more than big enough.  My wife hasn't seen what this might look like, ahem.

But the back yard is where I do my stuff so at my age she humors me.

I'll be putting up a Campbell CS-110  electric field detector which needs some power, too.  The output of the datalogger is only the rs232,  unlike some more recent dataloggers which already have an ethernet connection or the possibility of attaching a converter right to the datalogger.

I'm sure this won't be NWS quality but it has been a decades long project to be able to do a electric field strenth monitor and if I don't get it done now, I may never do so.

I appreciate ALL the ideas and as usual, those who have done similar things or have engineering/science background are aware of pitfalls that I am not.

Dale,

If I recall you said you have a Campbell Scientific CR3000 data logger. You can get an ethernet peripheral for that data logger if you don't already have one and access the CS-110 via TCP over your LAN with the serial to ethernet/wifi converter. Then you would be able to read the sensor and store the data to local tables in the data logger as though it were a typical hardwired instrument.

Reading further on the CS110 product page, it looks like it has an embedded CR1000 data logger? You should be able to communicate with it using pakbus from your CR3000 very easily.

Cheers

More Improvements to come.

Took this screenshot at about 01:21 pm your time, so why is the data more than 10 mins old?

And I've mentioned all the problems with Wind display before. . .

Some comments:
 - I don't have any Ambient equipment.

- My guess is that there is a difference between how the Ambient "app" (phone app) operates vs the Ambient website.  Post more about which system you are trying to use. If its the web, consider installing the phone app to see if that will solve you issue.

- Ambient is on a course to make its customers pay an ongoing fee to access data that the customers own. This is being driven by Ambient now controlled by an Investment Bank. Don't give in to their blackmail - find an alternative hardware solution if it comes down to that.

-Post what your current hardware model numbers are.  Perhaps someone may be able to offer a workaround.

... looks like the WN1821 is now also able to show the outdoor temperature of a WH32 outdoor in the WN31 display area.
to be a bit nit-picky, it is not a WN31 display area but a temperature/humidity display area  ;),
and since meanwhile a long time, since firmware 1.2.3 to be precise, a WN32/WH32 outdoor T/RH sensor can also be displayed there

see firmware changelogs in the WiKi  8-)

What weather software are you using? I was able to get Cursor to use testtags from Weather Display to load the data on page load by having it create a cache file. I'm getting there with the 30 second updates. You're making good progress.

I'm actually using both Ambient Weather and the The Weather Channel IBM API system.
