Just updated mine:

Barometer: 29.697
Barometric Reduction Method: 2   - NOAA Bar Reduction. For VP2, this will always be 2.
User-entered Barometric Offset: 0
Barometric calibration number: 65495
Barometric Sensor Raw Reading: 29.575
Absolute Barometric Pressure: 29.575
Altimeter Setting: 29.691

Elevation in feet: 108
Calculated Altimeter: 29.691

Probably I will add "Barometric Sensor Raw Reading" to JSON export file. Should help if somebody will like to recalculate barometer in own way.
Altimeter not, because there is many algorithms to calculate altimeter pressure. If someone has atmospheric pressure then can easily calculate any value.

I am not having any luck with this link. Just get "server not found"-

http://WFL_IP/update

Any ideas?
You have to have version 2.xx of firmware.
WFL_IP you need to know this number. My WFL has number 192.168.2.230
http://192.168.2.230/update

You have to know your WFL IP.

Upgraded to 2.12.  BAR pages shows proper.  I may have to switch from Cumulus to WFL for CWOP uploads.  Just so it'll quit complaining about my BAR values.

That brings up a question.  If I have UV and solar radiation on my VP2, is WFL automatically sending it to CWOP?

Just curious since in Cumulus MX, I have to check a box to enable that.

Thanks.

If  Solar is not "---" then is added to CWOP export and many other.
I am trying to not make any options for users, because that will complicate WiFiLogger and become not user friendly.

I like WeatherLInk IP. It is sending all data from console to WeatherLink.com and you need to do nothing. Perfect.
WiFiLogger couldn't be make like this, but I should keep it close to it.

I contacted WeatherCloud support requesting what barometric pressure they desire to be uploaded to them from our pws. They stated “compensated barometric pressure”. How does this term fit into altimeter and sea level pressure? My guess is sea level pressure.

Ron.
Altimeter and barometric pressure in this case when we have atmosheric pressure sensore readings, both are sea level pressure reduction algorithms.
Barometer pressure is quite complicated. It takes not only elevation, but also temperature, humidity and dew point.
Altimeter needs only elevation.
There is more than one alghoritm for sea level reduction.
Please check  here: www.softwx.com

Code: [Select]
    // formulas/algorithms
      // Sea Level Pressure reduction algorithms
      TSLPAlgorithm = (
        paDavisVP,  // algorithm closely approximates SLP calculation used inside Davis Vantage Pro weather equipment console (http://www.davisnet.com/weather/)
        paUnivie,   // http://www.univie.ac.at/IMG-Wien/daquamap/Parametergencom.html
        paManBar    // from Manual of Barometry (1963)
        );

      // Altimeter algorithms
      TAltimeterAlgorithm = (
        aaASOS,     // formula described in the ASOS training docs
        aaASOS2,    // metric formula that was likely used to derive the aaASOS formula
        aaMADIS,    // apparently the formula used by the MADIS system
        aaNOAA,     // essentially the same as aaSMT with any result differences caused by unit conversion rounding error and geometric vs. geopotential elevation
        aaWOB,      // Weather Observation Handbook (algorithm similar to aaASOS & aaASOS2 - main differences being precision of constants used)
        aaSMT       // Smithsonian Meteorological Tables (1963)
        );

      TVapAlgorithm = (
        vaDavisVp,  // algorithm closely approximates calculation used by Davis Vantage Pro weather stations and software
        vaBuck,     // this and the remaining algorithms described at http://cires.colorado.edu/~voemel/vp.html
        vaBuck81,
        vaBolton,
        vaTetenNWS,
        vaTetenMurray,
        vaTeten
        );

But, CWOP needs altimeter value. It has to be done.
Same problem I had on the beginning with coordinates. They use not very popular standard to describe longitude/latitude.

I hope that now WiFiLoggers will deliver proper data to CWOP.

WheatonRon,
WeatherCloud wants Sea Level Pressure. CWOP is the only online service you publish to that I've seen that requests Altimeter. That doesn't mean some people do what they want and play by their own rules. Here is a copy from their blog answering this very question. I use a Meteobridge and it has been around for years. It sends Altimeter to CWOP and it sends SLP to everything else. I publish to upwards of 9 online services. If there was a problem the Meteobridge would have changed this by now.

Seems my v20 update has failed.
Followed each step in the instructions and completed 3.1 and got the message Update Correct Restarting
After a minute or so got a browser message
Quote
The connection has timed out
The server at 192.168.0.250 is taking too long to respond.

Now I can't access 192.168.0.250
Any suggestion what I should do next?

All resolved...
The update removed my previously designated IP address and I had to search through each IP until I got the WiFiLogger.
Then was able to reinstall the config and stationconfig files and that reestablished the original IP address.

All good now, except for one upload ;)

Enjoy,
Paul

I keep getting -1F dew point readings kicked out to multiple weather sites (WU and PWS, for example). I think it is a glitch of the logger since it is going to more than one site. I am wondering if anyone else is having this issue? I have uploads to PWS set to once a minute and yesterday -1F was sent 6 times. See link:

Probably not the logger. Most likely it is your ISS that is having temp/humidity sensor issues. Bad news is that unlike the VP2, the Vue is a complete harness part that needs the whole thing replaced. The Vue was not designed to be serviceable. I'm not saying 100% that this is your issue...but you should check you console reading and see if you see it occurring there too. If you have another data logger perhaps the one before you upgraded to the WiFi Logger then test with that.

Wow, it's barely a year old.

I know...tell me about it. User DRoberts that I recently helped get on CWOP also has a bad temp/humidity sensor and he was lucky to catch this before his 1 year anniversary so it was covered under warranty. So the good news for you is if you too are under the year warranty then you have recourse. Lots of credit cards also offer free 1 year extra warranty for purchases. So there is that too. I myself would be sporting a Davis if this issue had been resolved by now. VP3 can't come soon enough....fingers crossed. That does nothing for the multitude of people affected by these troublesome sensors. Davis needs to deal with this issue publicly. They gotta stop hiding behind their corporate and government clients that perhaps are not aware. Its like we the hobbyists don't matter.

I will have to play with it, I suppose. When I look at the data I stream to Weatherlink, it does not show a low of -1F, so I guess that is good. The unit was installed the first week of January 2018, so it is barely a year old.

1 minute uploads to PWSweather is a bit much. I recommend dialing that down to 5 minutes or even 10 minutes so that the graphs can be meaningful. The PWSweather graphs just do not offer the level of granularity to nicely support 1 minute uploads.

My CWOP uploads are 10 minutes. It should be noted, my dew point readings have a two thumbs up, 100% rating, so my guess is that the -1F issue is not hurting the overall data. I guess I do not need such frequent uploads to PWS. I like my WU rapid fire. Gives me some entertainment while at work, such as right now.

I went back and checked my data. The issue started on January 9. Only one day since then has there not been a -1F reading at least once during the day. Not a huge issue, but it obviously messes with the Hi/Low records.

I don't have this issue, but I think is because of LOOP reading function. I have change it.
Before I was using LPS, to read LOOP1 and LOOP2 in same time. But that was also problem.
Now it's LOOP command for LOOP1 and LPS for LOOP2.
From LOOP2 you have dew point and winds, like 2minAVG, 10minAVG, gust.
So I think you can have problem with LPS command.

I will check this function once more.

I went home and checked other upload sites. Weather Cloud does not show -1F and neither does the actual console (showed a low of 37 yesterday). AWEKAS does not show a Hi/Lo dew point reading. The issue seems to be with WU and PWS only. Thank you for looking into it.

Dear all, I have been experiencing problems after upgrading the logger to 2.00, I am currently on 2.12. Sometimes the logger takes 12 minutes to send an update which is strange as with the old firmware data was being constantly sent to my server. I have tried two difference applications, CumulusMX and Weather Display and the problem still persisted. Wireless isn't a problem because the can see that it has a good signal from the Access Point and ping from the server is always under 2ms. Network monitors and the firewall tell me that traffic on port 22222 is flowing constantly from the wifilogger towards the server so communication is also not an issue.

This is a snapshot from Wdisplay logs:
