Digital video cam as weather webcam?

If you have a capture card or device for your pc you can use FreeWCAM to simply capture the still image to your pc and then upload it with your other weather pages. It also has a built in FTP funtion so you can use it as a stand alone program to FTP with as well.

i use an old JVC videocam connected to a TV capture card
and use weather display software, which has its own webcam capture program bundled with it

it allows you to use any of the custom tags available in WD as an overlay on the webcam image

Yes, thank you for all the links.

In fact, the cam I was thinking of using is an old (5 year) JVC that sees little use, other than as a pass-thru for on-air recording.

Suddenly, I have a ton of stuff on my plate so I'll have to put off playing with this idea.
