CA80550 and LTV-R2 Rain Sensor Not Connecting

  I cannot link the two together but LaCrosse in their compatibility chart https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0035/7443/1790/files/Compability_Chart_Updated_032520.pdf?v=1594494575  says the LTV-R2 should pass through to the app only.  I cannot get my display to receive the LTV-R2.  I have followed the reset procedure twice and no luck.  I even had LaCrosse send me a replacement unit LTV-R2. With no luck in binding the two together.  I added the rain sensor on my app by scanning the barcode according to their online videos and manual and still no luck.  Could this be an error on LaCrosses's part?
