Rainwise Mk 3 LR anemometer question
« on: January 17, 2020, 02:47:34 PM »
While moving a Mk 3 weather station, one of my helpers was trying to pull the unit off the mounting pole and pulled up on the anemometer (yes, I know ... with good help like that ...) and pulled it off. I've tested the unit and it appears to give accurate wind speed and direction. However, before remounting (with a different helper this time!) wanted to query the group knowledge - should I order a replacement anemometer unit or just hope the original unit sitting on the shaft will be ok? The placement is not a real convenient location to service, would not having to go up the mast unless I absolutely have to.
